Zacky Vengeance and Synyster Gates grace the cover of the Sept 2011 issue (Vol 32, No.9) of Guitar World. The duo talk the split from Mike Portnoy, finding Arin, “Not Ready To Die,” Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan (from his writing to what the band will do without him physically being there) and what they want for the future of Avenged Sevenfold. Here’s an excerpt about what Zacky V had to say when asked about bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Asking Alexandria and Black Veil Brides pissing people off:“…And in my opinion that’s always been one of the greatest things about our band. I mean, to this day the idea of Avenged Sevenfold still makes some people so fucking irate. And that’s fine. because I don’t think you can truly be a rock band if you don’t piss some people off. But the fact of the matter is we lve what we do. We still love writing music. We still love playing music. And we still feel that pressure to deliver something great to the fans….”
